Social Studies: Quiz tomorrow on Ancient Sumer and their 4 geographic problems & solutions. You are NOT allowed to use your notes or textbook. The 4 problems are: Food shortage in the hills, uncontrolled water supply, maintaining complex irrigation systems, and attacking from neighboring communities.

Today we had a chance to continue with answering our essential question for Social Studies. The question they are answering is: How did changes from the Paleolithic Era to Neolithic affect the development of civilization?

In Social Studies, we are working on a DBQ (document-based question); see above. The students have 8 documents that vary in genre they are annotating relating to the essential question. The final product will include a student-made claim and evidence from the documents to support their claim.
